If the fight is canceled, UFC Denver will be left without two of its originally scheduled main and co-main bouts in less than a week, and with Maycee Barber reportedly withdrawing from the main event on June 24, the event could potentially go without a major contender.
Still, Rose Namajunas may have an alternative, as flyweight contender Tracy Cortez is putting her name forward to face the former champion, sources told MMA Fighting on June 24. Cortez was scheduled to face Miranda Maverick on July 20, but the new bout will take place a week earlier than planned.
