The boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has been postponed as Tyson is recovering from a recent recurrence of an ulcer.
Tyson underwent a medical emergency last weekend on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles after experiencing nausea and dizziness. By Tuesday, he was recovered and in stable condition, and posted on social media that he “doesn't need to be 100% fit to beat Jake Paul, but I am 100% fit right now.”

The 57-year-old boxing legend was scheduled to fight social media influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul, 27, in a Netflix livestreamed event at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium on July 20, but the latest incident appears to have put a damper on the pair's plans.
Netflix said the bout was postponed because Tyson's health issues will limit his training over the next few weeks, putting him at a disadvantage compared to younger boxers in terms of preparation time. Event organizers and co-producers Most Valuable Promotions said a new date for the heavyweight event will be announced by June 7.
Unfortunately, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not be able to face off as planned on July 20. Tyson recently suffered a recurrence of an ulcer that has kept him completely unable to train for the next few weeks.

“My body is in the best shape it's been since the 1990s and I plan to return to a full training schedule very soon,” Tyson told Netflix. “Jake Paul, this might buy me a little bit of time, but in the end, I'm going to get knocked out and banned from boxing forever.”
“I fully support postponing the event so that Mike Tyson has no excuses on fight day,” Paul told Netflix. “Fans know I wouldn't want to fight Iron Mike when he's not at his best, but don't get me wrong – when he steps in the ring with me, I'll be ready to win with a sensational finish.”
Those who purchased tickets for the original match will have their tickets valid for the new one, while those who can't attend the rescheduled schedule can get a refund at the original point of purchase. To request a refund, Netflix instructs people to email SeatGeek at dallascowboys@seatgeek.com with the subject line “Paul vs. Tyson.”
Nicknamed “The Most Fierce Man on Earth,” Tyson currently has a career boxing record of 50 wins (44 by knockout) and six losses. He is rated ESPN's hardest hitter in heavyweight history and holds the record for being the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title. He last won a bout in 2003 and retired in 2005.
Meanwhile, Paul's boxing career is still in its sixth year, although he entered the professional boxing world four years ago. His career record to date is nine wins (six of which were by knockout) and one loss, which came in his first fight against active professional boxer Tommy Fury in 2021. In the same year, he founded Most Valuable Promotions with his advisor Nakissa Vidarian.
