The University of Michigan football department landed one of the most highly-rated quarterback prospects in the 2026 freshman recruiting class. After securing Brady Hart's commitment, the new Wolverine wasted no time ingratiating himself with the loyal fanbase by criticizing Ohio State.
The Buckeyes were one of several schools that offered the quarterback, but he said Michigan was his option shortly after taking a look at the school.
“When I graduated from Ohio State, I realized that Michigan culture wasn't everywhere,” Hart said. Said “There's no place like Michigan,” he said in a statement to On3 Sports.
He added: “The ability to win is very important to me, and the ability to win at a high level and go to a national championship every year is awesome. I can't wait to be a part of it.”
Hart's comments are sure to grab the attention of fans at the University of Michigan, the reigning college football national champions after beating the Buckeyes the past three years.
Hart's commitment is a significant win for first-year Wolverines head coach Sherone Moore, who is looking to maintain his team's recent dominance following the departure of Jim Harbaugh.
Hart is a consensus four-star recruit in the 2026 class, rated as the No. 92 overall prospect, No. 15 player out of Florida and No. 9 quarterback by consensus of the nation's top recruiting services.
