Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper's latest offering promises plenty of entertainment and action, and it delivers. We break down our top three picks for tonight's NBA action. Sleeper has quickly become one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms and is expanding into other areas based on demand. Every week in this space, we'll be sharing our favorite NBA picks and talking about new platform strategies.
NBA Sleeper Pick Player Prediction (3/15)
Michael Porter Jr. (F – DEN): 4.5 1st Q points
MPJ continues to get off to a hot start with the Denver Nuggets, scoring six points in the first quarter, up from his last five and scoring at least five points each. He has at least five first-quarter points in each of the past seven games and 11 of the last 12 games. MPJ is averaging 6.0 first quarter points per game in both his last five and 10 games. Tonight, he takes on a soft team in San Antonio as he counts down the days until the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery. Enjoy Mash the More on Friday nights at MPJ.

Cade Cunningham (G – DET): 5.5 points in the first quarter.
Cunningham has been explosive as a starter for the Detroit Pistons recently, averaging 8.8 points per quarter in his last five games and scoring at least six points in each game. Cade has scored six or more points in the first quarter in the last six games and eight of the last 10 games. In those 10 games, he averaged 7.3 first-quarter points per game. Cade scored nine points in the first quarter against the Miami Heat earlier this month, and based on his form and matchup stats, he's in a great position to do that again tonight. More applause at Cade for Friday Night Basketball.

Kelly Olynyk (C – TOR): 1st quarter 3.5 points
While a total of 3.5 points seems counterintuitive for a player who only averaged 9.0 points per game on the season, recent data actually suggests this is a reasonable number. Olynyk is averaging 14.4 points in March and has scored at least four points in the first quarter in each of his last five games. He averaged 6.2 points per game in the first quarter in these five of his games. Olynyk has been solid for the Raptors as the starter in place of the injured Jakob Poeltl, and is in great position to get off to a strong start tonight for a depleted Raptors team that started with zero players from the opening night lineup. Select “More About Olynyk” for Friday night's action.

Author's Note: Rows are constantly changing (and sometimes expiring) in Sleeper, so there's a good chance that one or all of the numbers will no longer be the same when you open the app. They have great value when first posted, the only catch is that not all of them are released at the same time. Literally, vigilance could yield a solid return on investment this season.
