Megan Moore, 25, of Centerville, Massachusetts, tragically passed away on March 16th, leaving us far too soon. She was the beloved daughter of Billy and Mary Beth and sister of Will and Molly, Meghan's humor and her zest for life will be greatly missed and forever remembered. .
A standout athlete at Barnstable High School, Meghan continued her passion for the University of New England as a proud member of the women's ice hockey team, graduating in 2021. She was also a favorite of both the staff and patrons of Spanky's Clam Shack, a beloved location each summer. A harborside restaurant run by the Moore family. Her smile lights up the Hyannis Harbor and she had recently embraced a new adventure working in Miami's restaurant industry.
To commemorate Meghan Moore's life, her family and friends have established a foundation to continue her legacy. Meghan was a shining example of her determination and loyalty, and we want to honor her memory by empowering our future student-athletes. Each year, the Meghan Moore Foundation awards scholarships to outstanding female student-athletes, allowing them to pursue their academic and athletic aspirations. This scholarship will be a beacon of hope and encouragement, and will embody Meghan's determination and dedication. Meghan is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Beth (Kelly) Moore of Centerville, her brother Will Moore of Centerville, her sister Molly Moore of New York City, her grandmother Elizabeth A. Kelly of Hyannis, and Bernie. He is survived by his extended family, including Patricia; (Kelly) O'Donnell of Marstons Mills, David Kelly of Hyannis, Bobby Kelly of Centerville, Robert M. and Shari Moore of Martha's Vineyard, Abigail Carey of Osterville, and Jerry and Jennifer (Moore) of Virginia Beach. Maceo, Tony and Sonya Laura-Randolph, Moira (Moore) Cabral, Jimmy Murray of Colorado, and Rick and Maureen Malmgren; Her beloved cousins include Kelly and Andrew Kelly, Maggie, Annie and Seamus O'Donnell, Caroline Kelly, Dane and Sarah Murray, Rebecca and Nathan Cabral, and Kristen and Kelly Malmgren. Meghan is survived by her children, Paul E. Kelly of Hyannis, Thomas J. Moore and Constance M. Moore of Barnstable, Daniel J. Kelly, Tommy Moore and Pamela (Moore) Murray of West Barnstable; , Brenda Woodruff, and Zachary Cabral have passed away.
To celebrate and honor Meghan's life, a visitation will be held at Our Lady of Victory (230 S. Main St., Centerville, MA 02632) on Tuesday, March 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27th at 11 a.m., also at Our Lady of Victory.
