During his career at Binghamton, McKnight led the Bearcats to five postseason appearances, including two tournament runner-up finishes and two regular season championships. She was named America East All-Conference four times, including three times on her first team. McKnight won back-to-back America East Midfielder of the Year awards and was twice named All-Region. McKnight started all 76 games for her college career, scoring 24 goals (3rd all-time at Binghamton), 18 assists (4th) and 66 points (3rd). She was also selected to the America East All-Academic Team twice.

McKnight becomes the second Bearcat to play professionally overseas, joining Kayla Sagar '19, who played for FC Slovakko Zeny in the Czech Republic in 2019.
