Despite diving deep into the world of boxing, Jorge Masvidal still plans to return to MMA.
“I'm definitely going to come back to the UFC and get a W for my city, my family, my kids and everyone who believes in me,” Masvidal told MMA Junkie's Danny Segura. Ta. “I have to get back to the UFC.”
Masvidal, a former BMF champion and longtime UFC welterweight challenger, retired from MMA in April 2023 after suffering a four-fight losing streak with a unanimous decision loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. “I definitely had to get back into the fight,” Masvidal said recently. “I couldn't go out with an L, especially in this city. I need to get some W's before I hang up. That's never been clearer in my mind. .”
In addition to facing Diaz, Masvidal said he plans to box other big names before stepping into the Octagon again.
“I wouldn't mind taking on Logan Paul and rearranging his face,” Masvidal told Segura. “Even though he's an influencer, he's a hell of a fighter in the boxing world. He did some good things against (Floyd) Mayweather, but I think I can finish that guy. With Logan. I think I can fight, and if I get Mayweather, (Manny).'' Pacquiao has other guys he wants to fight in the future. ”
