Martial Arts Pioneer Cynthia Rothrock Releases First Look Teaser for Fist-Themed Western 'Black Creek'! – ACTION-FLIX.COM

In the world of martial arts action movies, Cynthia Rothrock is revered as the queen of all things martial arts, having starred in numerous films over the years. Still packing her punches (and scorpion kicks) and looking better than ever, Rothrock made an appearance at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con to unveil the first teaser for the successfully crowdfunded martial arts-packed Western. Black Creek The film features an all-star cast that includes Rothrock, Richard Norton, Keith Cook and Don “The Dragon” Wilson. This adrenaline-fueled love affair not only stars Rothrock, but also co-wrote the screenplay with Robert Clancy and Jeff Gress and produced it from the ground up. Shannon Regnier directed the film alongside German martial arts powerhouse Mike Moller, who also handled the film's brutal, hyper-kinetic action design. Black Creek is a dark, gritty, dystopian Western action martial arts film featuring a strong, “no holds barred” female lead, played by action movie star Cynthia Rothrock.

The story revolves around the sister of a sheriff in a rough Southwestern town who seeks revenge against the fearsome leader of a gang of outlaws after learning that he has brutally murdered her brother, his wife and the rest of their family.

Rothrock has worked with all of the leading actors so far, so the martial arts action nostalgia meter is running at full speed. Veteran action star Richard Norton has worked with Rothrock in several films, including China O'Brien An action movie that also stars Keith Cook, Wilson, and Rothrock. Death Fighter Extreme martial arts champion Matt Mullins also stars in the film, which means martial arts buffs are in for a treat with bone-crunching action and fisticuffs in this one. Veteran action star Patrick Kilpatrick also stars, with R. Marcus Taylor rounding out the cast.
