Wendell Carter Jr. had 15 points and 13 rebounds as the Orlando Magic defeated the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 118-88 on Saturday.
Orlando led by 43 points and ended their losing streak at three. Cole Anthony (15 points), Jalen Suggs (15 points), Franz Wagner (13 points) and Paolo Banchero, who had 13 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and a career-high four blocks. Seven Magic players scored in double figures, including: shot. Markelle Fultz had 12 points and Joe Ingles had 11 points.
Orlando never trailed after the first two minutes, shooting 48.7 percent from the floor, including 22 of 44 (50 percent) from 3-point range. The Magic led by 20 points at the end of the first quarter and never allowed the thin-handed Grizzlies to get within striking distance.
Memphis played with a provisional lineup as Desmond Bane (back injury) and Santi Aldama (illness) were ruled out before the game. Jordan Goodwin came off the bench to lead the Grizzlies with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Clark had 13 points, GG Jackson and Scottie Pippen Jr. each had 11 points, Jake LaRavia had 10 points, and Luke Kennard, who had missed the past five games, had nine points (personal reason).
Bucks 122, Hawks 113
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 36 points and 16 rebounds, and visiting Milwaukee defeated Atlanta to end its losing streak at two.
Antetokounmpo made 12 of 22 from the field and 12 of 16 from free throws and added eight assists for the Bucks. This is the 34th time Antetokounmpo has scored 30 points or more and grabbed 10 rebounds, leading the league.
For the Hawks, Bogdan Bogdanovic had 38 points and 10 rebounds, and Dejounte Murray had 20 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.
Celtics 104, Pelicans 92
Kristaps Porzingis had a double-double and Boston's defense stifled the New Orleans offense after the first period, allowing the visiting Celtics to pull out the win.
Porzingis had 19 points and 10 rebounds, four of his teammates also scored in double digits, and the Celtics took command in the third quarter, ending their losing streak at two and tying their longest losing streak of the season. Jayson Tatum led the way with 23 points.
Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 25 points and CJ McCollum added 24 points. New Orleans scored 37 points in the first quarter, but finished with just 31 points in the second and third quarters.
