LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson has been watching Alexandria High School star JT Lindsey's development in recent months and decided to offer the Louisiana native a scholarship after visiting Baton Rouge this week. I took the plunge.
Wilson and the Tigers have been in close contact with Louisiana's No. 3 running back as he navigates the offseason ahead of what many expect to be a strong senior season.
Lindsey shined throughout his high school career and was a national recruit during his junior season, and the LSU staff has high hopes for keeping the star back in The Boot.
On3 has elevated Lindsey from an unranked prospect to a top 150 recruit in America in its latest update, checking in as the No. 11 running back in the country.
LSU currently has the nation's No. 1 running back signed in five-star Harlem Berry of New Orleans, but it may not end there.
Wilson and the Tigers have been heavily pursuing four-star running back and top-150 prospect James Simon in recent months.
Now add Lindsey to the mix.
LSU's motto remains the same. “The best in the Boot stays in the Boot.'' This is a sentiment that has been reflected in his class of 2025 so far.
Louisiana has three of the top 12 running backs in the nation in Berry, Simon and Lindsey, but will Wilson & Co. end up getting three running backs in the 2025 cycle? In short, as it turns out, yes.
Berry has already made his commitment known, and Wilson has now made an offer to Lindsey, who is headed in LSU's direction after extending his offer. He will be in Baton Rouge this weekend and will definitely be on “commit watch” as he is expected to make a big move leading up to the Tigers' spring game on Saturday.
For Simon, LSU brought in a long-awaited returning player for a visit to Death Valley in late March, hoping he would end his recruitment and reveal his commitment, but Simon remains on the market. So, I am surviving the busy spring and visiting Death Valley. It's easy. If Simon wants to be a Tiger, LSU will welcome him with open arms.
now, LSU Country recorded a prediction that the Tigers will secure JT Lindsey, a four-star recruit from Louisiana. Lindsey receives an offer from his dream school and it's the scholarship he's been waiting for. We believe a coveted running back will join LSU's 2025 class.
LSU's 2025 class has commitments from No. 1 quarterback (Bryce Underwood), No. 1 wide receiver (DaCorien Moore), and No. 1 running back (Harlem Berry), which will change the program for the time being. We have a chance to do that, but there are better players. It is expected that the pledge will be revealed sooner or later.
LSU Country released an update on a busy recruiting weekend in Baton Rouge, with LSU scheduled to host several 2025 and 2026 prospects over the next 48 hours.
