Logan Paul's energy drink company Prime Hydration has filed a defamation lawsuit against Ryan Garcia after he blamed the drink for a positive drug test result.
The former YouTuber claimed his company is “under attack” by false stories being spread by the 25-year-old YouTuber.
“Today, we begin to hold accountable those who tarnished our brand for attention while we set the story straight,” Paul said Thursday, along with a photo of the lawsuit filed in Texas court. he wrote on Instagram.
“We're here to stay and will continue to change the world of hydration with bold flavors and creative innovation,” he added.
Prior to his shocking come-from-behind victory over Devin Haney in April, Garcia went on a number of social media rants after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
The controversial athlete claimed the drink would “kill your brain,” “ruin your liver” and “severely injure you.”
He even claimed, “I tested positive for ostarine after taking Prime.''
Prime is suing Garcia for defamation, trade disparagement, violations of the Lanham Act, unfair competition and unjust enrichment.
The boxer gave a bizarre reaction after it was reported on Thursday morning that both A and B samples taken last month had tested positive for a banned substance.
“Let's go, positive positive vibes, but yes, very happy,” he tweeted.
“If you like steroids,” he wrote in a follow-up post. “I don't care, I'll never earn your losses in boxing again, not my losses for setting me up lol. Stop joking.”
