Logan Paul told his brother, Jake Paul, that he would take Tyson's place after boxing legend Mike Tyson postponed his July 20 bout, giving fans a chance to watch the fight after all.
Logan and Jake both launched their fighting careers at the KSI vs. Logan Paul fight on August 25, 2018, and have since transitioned from social media stars to influencer boxing.
Since his debut victory over Deji, Jake has fought nine more times in the ring, compiling a career record of 9-1, a success that has landed him an upcoming bout with former world champion Mike Tyson.
Logan has been keeping just as busy, albeit in a different capacity: the current WWE United States Champion has developed into one of the best ring performers in the business of professional wrestling.
After news broke that Tyson was postponing his bout with Jake, “The Problem Child” received a surprising challenge: a bout with his brother, Logan.
Although Logan is two years older than Jake, his younger brother has a much more accomplished track record as a professional boxer.
Of course, winning the WWE Championship is no scofflaw, but Logan's wrestling traits are hardly utilized in a boxing ring.
Rogan (1-1-2) has a draw with the legendary Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his only win came by DQ after Dillon Danis collapsed late in the bout.
Jake (9-1) has won all but one of his bouts in the ring, with his only blemish coming in a close split decision loss to Tommy Fury, the half-brother of Tyson Fury.
It's an interesting idea, and it would be easy to sell a fight between brothers, but it seems unlikely the two would ever share a boxing ring as enemies.
Jake is still scheduled to fight Tyson later this year, but not on the original July 20th date.
Instead, Netflix confirmed that a decision on a rescheduled date will be made “by the end of next week.”
So if Logan really wants to challenge his brother, he's going to have to wait in line.
