LettUs Grow and Innovative Growers Equipment announce partnership to bring advanced aeroponics technology to North America
LettUs Grow, a UK-based specialist in advanced aeroponics technology, has partnered with Innovative Growers Equipment (IGE), a US specialist in greenhouse equipment manufacturing, to bring ultrasonic aeroponics to greenhouse growers in the US and Canada. Introduced.
Through this partnership, IGE will manufacture LettUs Grow's patented ultrasonic irrigation system, enabling growers to optimize crop production and improve quality with the latest irrigation technology.
According to Bristol-based LettUS Grow, the strategic partnership will combine LettUS Grow's technology with IGE's world-leading manufacturing capabilities to deliver higher crop yields while reducing resources for greenhouse farmers across the region. It is said that it will come true.
Commenting on the move, Charlie Guy, CEO of LettUs Grow, said: “This partnership will support producers and improve food security through meaningful collaboration, helping the world grow. “This represents an important step forward in our mission to reduce the impact of growing fresh produce in the United States.”
“Working with IGE will give farmers in the U.S. and Canada access to the latest irrigation technology that will bring innovation and growth to their operations.”
With successful crop growth trials completed at the Research and Development Greenhouse Facility at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and more recently at the Stockbridge Technology Center in Yorkshire in collaboration with CHAP, LettUs Grow's aeroponic technology can be used for a range of hydroponic irrigation applications. It was shown to improve yield and growth rate compared to the method. of leafy vegetables and herbs.
The companies said the partnership will increase the accessibility of cutting-edge controlled environmental agriculture (CEA) technology for greenhouse growers in both the United States and Canada who want to accelerate the growth of crops within their facilities.
The North American commercial greenhouse market is experiencing significant growth, previously valued at over USD 5.8 billion by 2023, and is now expected to reach USD 11.2 billion by 2030, according to LettUs Grow has been done.
LettUs Grow was founded in Bristol in 2015 by University of Bristol graduates Charlie Guy, Jack Farmer and Ben Crowther. Since then, the company has developed patent-pending technology designed to create vertical farms that bring resiliency to food supply networks.
The company said the ultrasonic airflow irrigation system allows farmers to grow up to twice as fast as hydroponics while using zero soil, zero pesticides, and less water and fertilizer than outdoor farming.
