EA Sports gives fans a taste of what to expect College Football 25 This weekend, athletes and celebrities will compete in head-to-head streaming competitions on Twitch.
The schedule of events will begin at 1pm ET on Saturday, when LeBron James will join Hillwood's stream along with his former high school football coach, Frankie Walker.
Other notable broadcasts over the weekend include a matchup between former Heisman Trophy winners Michael Vick and Tim Tebow and Colorado teammates Shedul Sanders and Travis Hunter.
The match will feature players controlling teams they have played for or have a personal connection to.
For example, James uses Ohio State for streaming, and even though he never attended college, he claims the Buckeyes as his college team because it's the most successful university in his home state.
Despite being from Akron, there was no chance James would play for a Zips team that hadn't made a bowl appearance since 2017 and had gone 2-10 for three straight seasons.
The Hunter vs. Sanders matchup will be interesting to watch as both will be playing for Colorado. EA Sports has definitely got the Buffaloes in line for the win, giving them an overall rating of 87, good for 16th in the nation along with nine other teams.
In addition to the fun of watching these stars play the new game, EA Sports will also provide walkthroughs of different modes: The Arizona State vs. Florida State stream, featuring Chad Walker and Ben Howmiller, will showcase Dynasty mode.
Dynasty mode has three pillars: Build a Coach, Build a Program, and Make College Football Happen.
Players can progress alongside their coach by playing games and completing different objectives within each game.
The streaming weekend comes as the final build of the game is due to be revealed soon ahead of its release, with 11 years of wait for a new college football game from EA Sports coming to an end on July 19th.
EA Sports College Football 25 It will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Gamers who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will be able to play starting July 16th.
