A civil lawsuit accusing former Texas Tech University basketball player Richard “Pop” Isaacs of sexually assaulting a minor during a team trip to the Bahamas in November has been dismissed, the lawsuit says. The lawsuit, filed in January by the parents of a 17-year-old girl, alleges Isaacs sexually assaulted the girl while intoxicated. In a statement after the suit was filed, Texas Tech University said it immediately reported the allegations to the school's Title IX office and that the school operates independently and has launched its own investigation.
The school said the athletics department contacted the Title IX office twice and was told each time that Isaacs was in “good condition.”
