Taylor High School's varsity softball team earned its second win in District 4A-22 play on Saturday, April 6, as the Lady Ducks defeated Manor New Tech High School 11-1 at home.
The Lady Ducks had a balanced attack against the Lady Titans with plenty of contributions throughout the lineup.
Taylor scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning, two more in the third frame, led off the game with four runs in the fourth, and added two more runs in the fifth to close out the run rule. Applied. 6th frame.
Lady Ducks sophomore Holland Long hit a two-run double in the sixth inning to give Taylor the final two points, while sophomore Alena Ortiz and freshman Enicia Quintanilla also scored two points each. He contributed to Taylor by raising the ball.
Taylor senior Kamryn Nunamaker was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two hits and an RBI, while Kaylee Page, also a senior at bat, went 2-for-3 with a team-high three hits and an RBI. .
