Some boxing fans are only just beginning to find out that Jake Paul has already shared the ring with his next opponent.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer was scheduled to face Mike Tyson on July 20, but health issues have forced the heavyweight legend to pull out of the highly-anticipated bout.
The new date for the fight between Paul and Tyson has been set for November 15th.
Meanwhile, he's scheduled to face former UFC star Mike Perry.
It was announced on Tuesday that “Problem Child” had booked Perry as his replacement opponent and the bout would take place as scheduled on July 20.
Soon after, footage resurfaced on social media showing Paul's past with the bare-knuckle boxing champion sparring ahead of his 2021 bout with Ben Askren.
Perry backs Paul into the corner and can be seen looking to land a shot.
The former Disney actor was able to duck punches and regain control in the center of the ring in the briefest of six-round sparring sessions.
Still, boxing fans were bold in their comments, sparking discussions about a possible fight between Paul and longtime rival KSI.
“Is this for real? KSI will destroy them both,” one person tweeted.
Another commented: “It's about time Jake started. KSI wouldn't fight him now.”
A third said: “That was 4 years ago KSI has no chance of beating Jake so put the pee back in your pants.”
Someone else wrote: “KSI had a tough time in his debut. Shut up.”
KSI is currently preparing for a two-on-one tag team match against Slim Albaher and Anthony Taylor, with talks to face Paul at a standstill ahead of his return to the ring on August 31.
Logan Paul's younger brother will have to try his best to beat Perry, who has recent wins over Luke Rockhold, Eddie Alvarez and Michael “Venom” Page.
Despite being labelled “light work” after the sparring session, the 32-year-old claims he beat the Paul in an 18-minute fight and is confident of doing it again next month.
“Jake Paul claims he fears no one, but on Saturday, July 20th, the world will find out the truth,” Perry said in a press release.
“He made the worst mistake of his life trying to beat me in front of Iron Mike.
“On Saturday, July 20th, I'm going to make it look easy and teach Jake Paul everything I've ever learned about martial arts.”
