Social media sensation KSI will return to the boxing ring this summer in a rare two-on-one boxing match.
KSI, real name Olajide Olatunji, is no stranger to facing two opponents on the same night. At the inaugural MF & DAZN X Series event of 2022, he faced Brandon Scott, better known to online fans as Swarms, and Luis Alcaraz Pineda in back-to-back bouts, knocking them both out.
But on August 31, there will be a “handicap tag team match” in which KSI will face former Bellator star and current Misfits Boxing light heavyweight champion Anthony Taylor. Joining Taylor will be Misfits middleweight titleholder and undefeated YouTuber Slim Albaher.
The bout will be the main event of Misfits Boxing's second anniversary event in Dublin.
Anthony Taylor and Slim Albahar answer KSI's challenge
Anthony Taylor was quick to fire back, accepting the challenge by listing some of his own notable victories in the world of influencer boxing.
“GOAT can't be spelled without the 'AT'. KSI, I'm gonna beat your ass, there's nothing you can do. I already beat Salt Papi, I already beat King Kenny, I'm a f**king conqueror.”
Al Baher also posted on social media:
“Two on one, lmao. I can knock him out by myself. If you've been chasing KSI for years and this is your only chance, AT, it's a shame you didn't get the tag. Let's make it happen.”
Though he has won a few exhibition boxing matches since 2022, his official record is 1-1, beating his Prime Hydration partner Logan Paul by split decision in 2019 before losing by unanimous decision to Tommy Fury four years later. Fury, of course, is the fighter who handed Jake Paul his first defeat inside the ring.
