The Knoxville boys soccer team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday night with a dominant 4-1 victory over Oskaloosa at the Randy Wilson Track. Despite chilly temperatures and often heavy drizzle, the Panthers took the lead with Joseph Finnegan's first goal with 32:24 left in the first half. Then, with 15 minutes and 50 seconds left in the first half, Kyson Wilder scored to make it 2-0. After Oskaloosa's penalty cut the lead in half near halftime, the Panthers continued to dominate in the second half, making it 3-1 on Jay Keller's score with 27:32 left before Wilder scored his second goal of the night. I scored a goal. 3:55 left. Coach Dylan Mick told KNIA/KRLS Sports that his team did a good job keeping the pressure on Oskaloosa all night. Panthers goaltender Carson Cecil made four saves. Knoxville is currently 1-2 and will play Albia on Thursday.
