Hokies to play three Saturday games and two weekday games on television

The ACC and ESPN recently announced kickoff times and television network designations for five games for the 2024 season. Virginia Tech football currently has three away games and two home games with scheduled kickoff times.
Head Coach Brent Pry The Hokies will open the season at noon ET on ESPN at FirstBank Stadium against Vanderbilt on Saturday, August 31. The Commodores will be the first SEC program Tech will face under Coach Pry and will be the first SEC opponent Tech will face in nearly five years.
After starting the season on the road, Blacksburg will look to bounce back in their home opener against Marshall on Saturday, September 7th at 4:30pm on The CW.

The Hokies will add to the 30th anniversary atmosphere of Thursday Night Football with an ACC game against Boston College at 7:30 pm on Oct. 17. The iconic matchup will be broadcast on ESPN.

Following their home opener against the Thundering Herd, Tech will travel east to Norfolk, Virginia to take on Old Dominion on Saturday, September 14 at 6 p.m. The game will mark the third matchup between the two teams since 2022 and sixth overall. Fans can watch the matchup between the Virginia-based programs on ESPN+.
Looking at the final kickoff times announced, the Hokies will travel to Florida to take on Miami in an ACC game at 7:30 pm on Friday, September 27. Another night game added to Tech's schedule will increase national recognition for the program with the game airing on ESPN and is a great way to start the weekend for Hokies Nation.
