The 2024 Olympics in Paris are fast approaching, and excitement is building for the summer's major sporting event. NBC is sending some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment to host broadcasts throughout the City of Lights. There are also many familiar faces like Mike Tirico, a veteran Olympic broadcaster. Some are a little more surprising, like Snoop Dogg and Peyton Manning.
The competition begins on July 26 in the French capital and will run for 17 days until the last medal is hung around the neck of the world's best athlete.

The opening ceremony for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will be held on Friday, July 26th at noon Eastern time. The event will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock. Spanish-language television broadcasts begin at 1pm ET on Telemundo.

Where will the opening ceremony be held?
Paris brings a unique flair to the opening ceremony. Typically, athletes enter the stadium with their national teammates and walk around the playing surface carrying a flag. For the first time in history, the opening ceremony will be held on the streets of Paris instead of in a stadium.
The procession consists of more than 90 boats and travels about four miles down the Seine River. Thousands of athletes pass through the assembled crowd along the riverbank, and the parade ends at the Eiffel Tower.

That show was entertaining, but Snoop is expected to be a more traditional correspondent in Paris.
