Kayla Harrison's UFC debut couldn't have gone any better…she dominated the MMA legend, and now the starfighter tells us who she wants next!
33-year-old Harrison joins Babcock in TMZ Sports TV program (broadcast on weekday nights) FS1) …there she discussed everything holly holm's strategy versus her, significant weight loss, and on to the next opponent.
“That's what I heard. [Bantamweight champion] Rachel [Pennington] I'm not feeling well and can't fight.So even if she can't fight for the title, I would love to fight. juliana [Pena], anyone, I don't care. I want to fight for that belt,” Harrison said.
after that, Amanda Nuneswidely considered the greatest female mixed martial artist of all time… seemed to indicate she was ready to return after retiring last year.
The question is, is Kayla interested? Yes, that's right, she is.
“And once I win the title, if Amanda wants to come back, I'll welcome her with open arms. And I'm not going to bitch or moan about her skipping the line. No, she can go ahead and skip to the right.'' Come forward, honey. ”
Of course, this is something Harrison has said he's wanted for a long time…to compete at the highest level and against the best players. She's currently dispatching one of her legends, with a title fight likely on the horizon, followed by a possible superfight with UFC boss Nunes. Dana White In an interview after the event, he said he would love to make one.
Speaking about the UFC 300 experience, Kayla explained… “It was a pretty epic night, and yeah, it was amazing!”
Leading up to the scrapping, there was constant talk about Harrison's weight loss, with many wondering if she could get down to 135 (the question was answered, by the way).
I asked her about the cut.
“Weight loss sucks. I'm not going to lie, I'm not going to sugarcoat it for anyone,” Kayla said, adding that she felt “really good” physically, but lost the last weight. He admitted that it was mentally draining.
As for how he recovered after making the cut in preparation for tonight's fight…Harrison said, “Physically I felt really, really good in the cage, recovering, hydrating, getting stronger.”
