Kyrgyzstan has planned its next competition, a four-day youth national championship in the capital Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan's junior world champion Amantur Jumaev was named the best boxer of the tournament, Samagan Kochorbai Ullu was named the best coach, and Murat Kurmanov was named the best referee and referee.
The event is a pre-qualification competition for the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships, giving the winner a big chance to compete in Astana later this month. The boxer, born in 2006 and 2007, was eligible to participate in the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championship.
A total of 14 female boxers and 140 male boxers competed for medals at the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Championship held in Bishkek. There were 27 referees at this tournament and we saw some great matches with some quality boxers.
Bishkek's Aisezim Kushbekova has international experience, which paid off when she faced Zainagul Manasova in the flyweight final. Alina Shisonenko won the previous year's national competition and continued to stay on top of the podium in the bantamweight (54 kg) after stopping Nurkush Mirzabekova.
Medina Avildayeva from the Chuy region has been a member of the national team since 2021 and stopped all opponents defending the title in the featherweight (57 kg). Batken's Zarina Kurbanova (60 kg) and Jalal Abad's Aluuke Kamitbekova (63 kg) won the remaining women's titles in Bishkek.
Yasur Talaibek Ulu won his first men's title at the Youth National Championships by defeating Nursultan Asanakunov in the minimum weight (48 kg). Zafarbek Kamilov has won several international tournaments and is one of the aces of the youth national team, but he will give it his all against two strong opponents in the flyweight division (51kg), Kairat Kalmuratov and Momun Ibilaimankunov. Amantur Jumaev won Kyrgyzstan's first Asian junior title in 2023 and also won a historic gold medal at the Junior World Boxing Championships. He joined the youth age group in January this year and was unstoppable against all four opponents at bantamweight (54kg) in Bishkek.
Taras' Nurbor Sultanov and Erlan Ergeshov met in a dream featherweight (57kg) final, with the former able to win the title with a 3-2 split decision. Junior World Championship bronze medalist from the Chui region Dylerbek Sadirov, a newcomer in the youth generation, defeated Dastan Bekboev in the lightweight (60kg) final.
Bektur Turdubayev was born into a boxing family and had the skills to defeat Omatobek Berekbayev in the light welterweight division (63.5kg). Ramzan Kadyrov narrowly won the welterweight (67kg) final against Bishkek's Urmat Milov, while Bekmirza Abdukadyrov caused a surprise with his victory over Ramazan Isayev.
Muhammadaz Zakirov (80 kg), Azim Choibekov (86 kg), Tinistan Alibayev (92 kg) and Mirzakir Koshariev (over 92 kg) all had international routines to win in their respective weight classes.
