With all the attention on the BYU basketball program, the BYU football program has been quietly putting together what could be a blue-chip freshman class for 2025. Six players have already committed to BYU and the coaching staff has a number of official visits scheduled for this month. June will be a key month for BYU in recruiting, starting with high school camps and a 7-on-7 tournament.
The 7-on-7 tournament kicks off today, Saturday, June 1. High school teams will come to BYU's campus to compete in the 7-on-7 tournament.
After that, BYU will host two high school camps: one from June 3-5 and the other from June 10-12. High school camps have always been an important part of the recruiting calendar. The camps provide an opportunity for BYU's coaching staff to see and coach prospects in person. For example, quarterback Enoch Watson, who signed with BYU in December, first connected with BYU's staff through his high school summer camp. That relationship turned into an offer and eventually a contract.
Most importantly, BYU will host a slate of 2025 admission candidates for official visits later this month. The freshmen who have announced plans to visit BYU this month are: There are many other official visitors who have not announced their plans to visit.
