Former UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal has powerful words for Jake Paul.
“Gamebred” has signed a deal to face Nate Diaz in a boxing ring on June 1st. This boxing match will be Jorge Masvidal's second in his career, having last defeated Joseph Benjamin in June 2005. The bout will also be the welterweight's first bout since retiring after a loss to Gilbert Burns last April.
Late last week, Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz were in Las Vegas for their first press conference leading up to the fight. Jake Paul was brought up during the presser, and both former UFC fighters were quick to bash him. “Problem Child” quickly responded on social media, claiming that Dana White told Masvidal, “I can't fight him.”
Additionally, Jake Paul said he would offer Jorge Masvidal $10 million to fight in the PFL. Earlier today, “Gamebred” responded to these comments. MMA hour With Ariel Helwani. There, Masvidal thoroughly tore into Paul, admitting that the UFC vetoed Paul as an opponent because of his comments about Dana White.
Masvidal even accused the YouTuber-turned-boxer of bringing up PFL. The former UFC title challenger has no problem meeting Paul on the street, but a sanctioned fight is out of the question.
