Jorge Masvidal urged Jake Paul to stay away from MMA.
“Gamebred” has been embroiled in a bitter feud with Paul for several years, even though they were once friends before the YouTube star's rise in the martial arts world.
The pair have previously hinted at a matchup in the boxing ring, where Paul has fought 10 times professionally, but Paul is also eyeing a debut in MMA, where he has signed a contract with promotion PFL.
Masvidal, who has previously opposed many of Paul's opinions, criticized the influencer and argued that the UFC should not work with Paul in any capacity.
He exclaimed during The MMA Hour: “I’m going to address this little coward right now because I know he’s watching this shit.
“listen [Jake], the UFC doesn't like you motherfuckers. Dana White, I hate you asshole.
“They said, 'We're not going to let you make money with this guy,' because at the end of the day, we're partners. Me and Nate Diaz, we're going to make money right now.”
“They don't care about that mother. I understand why they don't want me to have a relationship with him and make him notoriety and money. They don't care about him.” .
“Jake ran up to me somewhere else, not in the ring or anything, bro. You’re talking about PFL, are you going to do it in MMA?
“Are you kidding me? You can't even box, so you're going to fight in mixed martial arts? I would kick your kneecaps out of your fragile body.”
“Don't bring up MMA you idiot, you disrespectful bastard.”
Considering the UFC's reluctance to work with Paul, it appears that an MMA bout between Masvidal and Paul is currently off the table.
The former UFC welterweight initially appeared to have settled his feud with the “problem child” after a fake confrontation in a parking lot last year.
However, Masvidal's entry into the boxing world has reignited fight talk, and the vicious cycle seems to be more evident than ever.
Paul, 27, has been a fierce critic of the UFC, sparking a feud with president White, and has been outspoken about how it treats its fighters.
The showdown could take place in the PFL, but Paul's debut will be delayed as he prioritizes boxing.
He is next scheduled to take on heavyweight legend Mike Tyson on July 20th in this summer's big event in Texas.
