On Saturday, the Octagon returned to its birthplace, Denver, for UFC on ESPN 59 at Ball Arena, with seven of the 12 bouts on the card finishing inside the distance.
In one of the bouts that required a judges' decision, in the main event, former UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas (13-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC) defeated Tracy Cortez (11-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) via unanimous decision to continue her path to the women's flyweight title.

Cortez is 3-1 since moving down to the UFC flyweight division in April 2021.
