Jason Kelce is showing his support for Team USA at the Paris Olympics while looking fashionable in the City of Light.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center and his wife, Kylie Kelsey, attended the U.S. women's field hockey team's season opener against Argentina on Saturday, July 27.
The U.S. team, made up entirely of Olympic rookies, lost to Argentina 4-1 in the match, according to NBC Olympics. They will next face Spain on Monday, July 29.
At the Olympic event, athletes Jason and Kylie Kelsey were photographed sitting in the stands wearing red, white and blue uniforms.
The retired NFL star was wearing a navy blue sweatshirt with “USA” emblazoned across the chest and a matching blue beret, which he told The Associated Press he bought from a souvenir shop.
Kylie Kelsey wore a white jacket with blue and red stripes on the sleeves over a T-shirt and jeans.
USA Field Hockey official X posted several photos of the couple at the event, including a group photo of them posing with the team.
After the game, the couple spoke to The Associated Press about the opportunity to travel to the Summer Olympics, which have traditionally overlapped with NFL training camps.
“When we found out we had the opportunity to compete in this tournament, the more we thought about it, the more we thought, 'Hey, this is actually a chance, let's take advantage of this opportunity,'” he said. “We love sports, we love competition, we love a world championship.”
The “New Heights” podcast co-host added, “It's a really unique place where the whole world comes together and bonds over competition and sports.”
Kylie Kelsey, who played field hockey in college and currently coaches the sport, said she's “always wanted to watch” the Olympics.
“When they qualified to come to Paris, I was like, 'Aha!' and then when I sat down and talked with Ashley and Kelly, it was a no-brainer,” she said of Ashley Sessa and Kelly Lepage of the U.S. women's field hockey team.
In March, Kylie Kelsey shared the field with Lepage and Sessa in the TikTok series “Places Kylie Shouldn't Go.” (Other examples include a guest appearance on TODAY.)
Reflecting on the video she made with Lepage and Sessa, Kylie Kelsey explained, “It was really cool to sit down and talk with them about what this means to them, how excited they were, what it took for them to get here, and then to see them on this stage is just amazing.”
“It's really a full circle moment where I feel like the field hockey community has really come together,” she added. “No matter what level you're playing at, you can understand what this is about.”
