Jamaica co-captain Taos Jordan was named Man of the Match for Friday's game against Puerto Rico.
Jamaica's senior ice hockey team defeated Lebanon on Saturday, winning two of the first three games of the Challenger Cup series in Chicago, USA.
They are scheduled to play the final game of the series against Puerto Rico on Sunday, April 21st.
On Thursday night, the team lost to Lebanon with a scoreline of 11-6. The team held only one practice session before the match. It was Jamaica's first loss against Lebanon, but the team was without one key player, Ethan Finlason, who arrived during the game.
Jamaica's scorers were co-captain Taos Jordan, who had a hat-trick, Malik McGowan, Amari Sellers and co-captain Josh Mitton.
In the second game on Friday night, Jamaica defeated Puerto Rico 6-3, with Jordan again scoring a hat trick and Ethan Finlason, Josh Mitton and Quinn Chessers among the scorers.
Jamaica led 0-1 at the end of the first of three periods, but led 5-1 at the end of the second period, preserving their first victory.
Goaltender Moriyah Tulloch, who had Thursday off, had a great performance Friday night, saving 34 of Puerto Rico's 37 shots.
The team faced Lebanon again on Saturday morning and turned the tables, winning 7-6.
The Challenger Cup Series is held in Chicago, then New York, and culminates in Toronto, Canada in July.
The team is expected to strengthen on other fronts with the addition of senior players who were unavailable for the game against Chicago.
