Israeli mixed martial artist Haim Gozali released footage on Sunday showing him hiding on a hotel rooftop after escaping an assassination attempt in Ukraine last week.
Gozali survived an assassination attempt in Ukraine last week while he was staying at a hotel with his son Elad and his coach Ben-el-Hashid. The trio managed to escape the scene and were assisted by local police.
N12 reported on Sunday that Gozali, his son and coach were in Ukraine to compete in a competition in a city near the Romanian border. The incident happened shortly after they arrived at their hotel, leaving the trio stranded on the roof while local police dealt with the situation.
Deported from Ukraine
After the incident, Ghoraj told media: “The police tried to silence the incident and did not allow us to stay in the country. We were quickly expelled. Since the war began, more than 100 propaganda videos have been made about me in the Muslim world, many of them [MMA] It's so that the fighters know they are competing in the same tournament.”
Shortly after the Israeli-Hamas war began, Gozali wrote the names of four Muslim UFC fighters on a bomb and posted the image to social media, though it was later deleted, Fox News reported in early November.
According to reports, Gozali's post was captioned with “This is from me to you” and a rat emoji. Additionally, in September, Gozali challenged another fighter over a comment that read, “Jews are just guests in Palestine. Respect them for giving you asylum. One day they will expel you from Palestine, Inshallah.”
