The Olympics are meant to be an opportunity to put aside the world's political differences and hope that global harmony is the ultimate goal for each nation.
Unfortunately, the Olympics have long seemed to be under the disproportionate control of Western countries. Western countries have repeatedly politicized the Olympics to further their own agendas.
At this year's Paris Games, Russia and Belarus were banned from participating in the opening ceremony, and athletes from both countries who actively supported the Ukraine war were also completely banned.
Many say that if even the temporary harmony associated with sport is not possible, equality would be the next best thing. This explains the global movement to expel Israel from the Olympics due to its horrific attempted genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
Immediately after their invasion, Russia was immediately banned from participating in the Olympic Games.
Nevertheless, it is completely unacceptable that after more than six months of carnage and murder, we are still calling for a single sanction against Israel.
The Olympic Committee is clearly in complete collusion with Israel. And in France this cannot be accepted.

As you just said, it's a double standard.
It's a double standard, and on top of that, as I said earlier, the Olympic Games are the kind of games that unite all nations in unity and peace, and it's not an atmosphere of genocide.
That's why we called for sanctions against countries that commit genocide. It's not because we don't respect the values of the Olympics.

In the rare cases when the Olympics are not held in a Western country, mainstream media coverage is almost uniformly negative towards the host country.
But this time, Western weapons and support for the unprecedented bombing and massacre of Gaza seem certain to discredit France and its allies.
We don't know if our leaders will listen to us. They certainly don't have a very good track record with that.
But the French people do not support this genocide, and neither should the Olympic Committee.

Even if the Olympic Committee continues to support Tel Aviv's war with Israel, it seems certain that many individual athletes and nations will refuse to compete with Israel.
There is a non-binding UN resolution, known as the Olympic Truce, encouraging countries to avoid war during the Olympics.
It is widely believed that if Israel continues its genocidal activities during the Olympics, it could spark unprecedented anger on behalf of the long-suffering Palestinians.
