Ronda Rousey explained in an interview with Valeria Rybopetsky that her first loss was due to a bad mouthguard. She said, “I literally joined that fight.'' [with Holly Holm] I've been getting concussions for years, so I already got a concussion from falling down the stairs. And I experienced absolutely terrible weight loss. This means that there is less water in the brain that needs to be cut to protect it. ”
“And I was on my feet the whole match,” Ronda Rousey said. “I was trying to look like I wasn't injured, but cognitively I wasn't. I couldn't think that fast, I couldn't judge distance, and just that one fight. And everyone thought, “Oh, she's just a fraud.” And I know that I'm the greatest fighter that ever lived. ”
