Ian Machado Garry has responded to Dana White and others suggesting his bout with Michael Page should have ended in a draw.

Last weekend at UFC 303, Ian Machado-Garry (15-0 MMA) defeated Michael Page (22-3 MMA) via unanimous decision. With the win, “The Future” remains undefeated inside the Octagon.
Gary said on “The MMA Hour” that despite the win, he was disappointed with his performance.
“Furious. Really furious. It should have happened in the first round. There should never have been a second or third round. It should have been 'Ian Machado-Garry gets him behind his back and knocks him unconscious.'”
Gary continued:
“That's how it should have been. I'm losing sleep over it now, my head is on fire. But that's just my competitive side. As a perfectionist, I'm like, 'That match should have ended here.'”
UFC CEO Dana White stated in the post-fight press conference that the fight between Garry and Page should have ended in a draw. When asked about that comment, Ian Machado Garry addressed White and those who feel the same way:
“You're kidding me. Watch the fight again. I won the first round. The thing is, it's more likely I won all three rounds than it was a draw. That's the way I see it. I won the first round by a landslide. No one can argue with that. I won the third round, obviously.”
Finally, the 26-year-old had this to say (via MMAJunkie):
“Somehow I ended up on the bottom. We traded some weird punches and I ended up on the bottom. I used some tight, dirty elbows from the bottom. I did the damage when I got off his back. I thought, 'OK, I'm going to get up,' so I took him down and got his back and punched him back a little bit. It wasn't a lot of damage, but it didn't affect MVP at all.”
