Kiyan Anthony, the son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, has very high praise for Paul George.
Cast 7 p.m. in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero (Starting at 8:30) Kiyan explained that George has a “smoothness” to his game that makes him easy to watch, making him worthy of the NBA GOAT conversation.
“I like watching him score,” Anthony said. “I feel like it's not like everybody else scores.”
George isn't a name that often comes up when discussing the greatest players in NBA history, but he is undoubtedly one of the best players of his generation and will undoubtedly be a Hall of Famer when he retires.
George, who will be in his 15th season in the 2024-25 season, is a nine-time All-Star, six-time All-NBA and four-time All-Defensive team selection. Since the 2015-16 season, he has shot 39.2 percent from the 3-point line, making him one of the best shooting wings in the league.
George also has the skill set to adapt to a variety of styles, and he played more off-ball last season after the Los Angeles Clippers acquired James Harden as their point guard.
Though he doesn't always have the flashiest playing style on highlight reel footage, George has been one of the league's most reliable two-way players for most of his career.
Considering Kyan's father's style was based on being a mid-range master, it's no wonder the 17-year-old is drawn to watching players with solid fundamentals play.
Kiyan Anthony will be showcasing his abilities at the collegiate level starting in the 2025-26 season, as he will be in his final year at Long Island Lutheran High School this fall.
