The Fort Dodge men's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision to unbeaten Humboldt inside Dodger Stadium on Monday.
Humboldt improved to 6-0 overall, while FDSH fell to 1-5.
“We played well and Fort Dodge is a solid team that's hard to break down.” HHS head coach Joe Hader said. “The set pieces are working well both offensively and defensively.
“We continue to work on moving the ball better. It's progressing.”
The Wildcats built a 2-0 lead at halftime and scored again in the second half.
Cristian Ramirez was on the hat track for the Wildcats. Ramirez currently has 78 career goals.
“(Ramirez) had some great assists from his teammates and carried the load on his shoulders.” Hadar said. “We need to win on the road and at home to keep pace with Webster City.
“They're at the top of the (North Central Conference), so we're trying to catch up. (The Lynx) are special this year.”
Ramirez has already scored two hat tricks and one goal this season, and has scored multiple goals in five of his six games.
Carter Westre, John Gasca and Antonio Vicario had assists in Monday's game against FDSH.
Humboldt has won four games in a row against the Dodgers.
The Wildcats travel to Iowa Falls-Alden on Thursday and will face No. 4 Webster City on Friday.
The Dodgers will play again at home against Des Moines Roosevelt on Tuesday.Junior varsity begins at 6 p.m., followed by varsity at 7:30 p.m.
The Humboldt women's team also won on Monday, defeating the Dodgers 3-0 in the final.
