Hudson came to Yale after spending six years at Florida State University. During his time with the program, the Seminoles won the ACC Championship four times (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) and the National Championship three times (2018, 2021, 2023), and in 2020 he NCAA runner-up and finalist in 2022.

In 2023, the Seminoles achieved the first undefeated record in program history and had a program record of five All-Americans, seven All-ACC honorees, ACC Offensive Player of the Year and two ACC Rookie of the Year honors. MAC Hermann semi-finalist, 1 MAC Hermann winner, and 1 Honda Sports Award winner. With these honors, the Seminoles' staff has been named the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Staff of the Year.
Hudson's role with the Seminoles primarily focused on the team's offense and player technical development, video analysis and opponent scouting. In 2022, the Seminoles will score 64 goals, which ranks sixth in school history. The Seminoles scored 66 goals in 2023 and won their third national title, fourth in school history.
Hudson earned a degree in public relations and rhetorical advocacy from Purdue University in 2011 and a graduate degree in media and communications from Florida State University in 2013.
