This weekend, Las Vegas will host two of boxing's best, as the Premier Boxing Champions fight card features Gervonta “Tank” Davis and David Benavidez.
This marks PBC's third card since announcing a new broadcast partnership with Prime Video, which launched in March.
In the main event, Davis will defend his WBA lightweight title against unbeaten Frank Martin, while in the co-main event, former 168-pound champion David Benavidez will move up to light heavyweight to challenge former champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk for the WBC interim title.
Davis is one of the best punchers in boxing, knocking out 93.1% of his opponents. A former junior lightweight world champion, Davis was recently promoted to full champion by the WBA and won his first title at lightweight.
Martin has developed from a top lightweight contender into a dangerous challenger. Under the tutelage of Derrick James, the Boxing Writers Association of America's 2022 Trainer of the Year, Martin has beaten tough opponents in each of his past two bouts, but the arrival of Davis will be a big step up for Martin.

Gervonta Tank Davis record
Gervonta Davis is 29-0, with 27 of his wins coming by knockout.
Davis is the junior lightweight and now lightweight world champion and has knocked out nearly every opponent he has faced, most recently against Ryan Garcia in April 2023, winning by seventh round knockout in one of the most anticipated and most-watched bouts of the past few years.
Davis is ranked second in the lightweight division and eighth pound-for-pound by The Ring magazine. ESPN ranks him second in the lightweight division and seventh pound-for-pound.
Frank Martin's track record
Frank Martin is 18-0, with 12 of his wins coming by knockout.
Martin is one of the top contenders in the lightweight division and will challenge for his first world title on Saturday. The best win of his career came in December 2022 when he defeated fellow unbeaten contender Michel Rivera by unanimous decision.
He's only fought once since, a not-so-great unanimous decision victory over then-unbeaten Artem Harutyunyan, and now he'll face Davis, the toughest opponent of his career to date.
Martin is ranked No. 5 in the lightweight division by both The Ring and ESPN.
Gervonta “Tank” Davis Stats
Gervonta Davis is one of the best knockout punchers in the sport, but like many big punchers, he isn't particularly active in the ring until he finds an opportunity to knock out his opponent.
Davis averages 33.2 punches thrown per round, the second-lowest in all of boxing, but ranks in the top 10 in terms of landing percentage, with a 35.2% landing rate. Davis may not land a ton of punches in the ring, but when he does land a punch, he tends to land a high percentage.
Davis ranks in the top ten for overall landing percentage, but has the second-highest power punch landing percentage in boxing, landing 47.7% of the power punches he throws. Davis tends to lose many rounds due to his relatively minimal movement in the ring, but it's almost inevitable that he will find an opening and capitalize on it with a brutal knockout shot.
