The 2024 NCAA Division I Hockey Championship begins on March 24 with official slot announcements, with the first regional game taking place four days later.
The field will feature 16 teams and will be a single-elimination tournament. All of them have hopes of reaching the 2024 Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Two teams from Boston have the potential to win: No. 1 ranked Boston College Hockey and No. 2 Boston University.
The Terriers have Macklin Celebrini, the No. 1 pick in the NHL Draft.

The selection show will be held on March 24th at 6:30pm EST.

The selection show will be broadcast on ESPNU and streamed on ESPN+.
How does the NCAA Hockey Tournament work?
Of the 16 teams, six conference champions will automatically qualify, and the remaining 10 best teams will be selected at-large by the Division I Men's Ice Hockey Committee. A total of four teams will be seeded, and each seeded team will be placed in one regional venue.
