Boxing at the 2024 Paris Olympics will have 13 different weight classes (seven for men and six for women) in which athletes can win medals, and will feature 249 athletes from around the world, including eight from the United States. (While 249 athletes may seem like a large number, this year's boxing competition is the smallest overall field in decades, although it will be the first time that there is an equal split between men and women.)
Both men and women compete for medals in the same five weight classes: flyweight, featherweight, lightweight, welterweight and middleweight. Women also compete in bantamweight and men in heavyweight and super heavyweight classes.
You can watch all boxing matches on Peacock, with select matches broadcast on USA, CNBC Telemundo and NBC Universo from July 27-August 10. Many of this year's matches will take place at Roland Garros Stadium, famously home to the French Open tennis tournament, and the North Paris Arena in Villepinte.
