EA College Football 25 is out now on all platforms, and the TeamBuilder website is live.
It's a layered system that allows you to do a lot of different things: helmets, uniforms, stadiums, etc. That said, most of us aren't professional artists who can quickly create a great logo for our imaginary school.
Sure, you could get a Nike swoosh or Kendrick Lamar's face or something else and stick it on your helmet or the 50-yard line, but if you want to get a little cooler and more original, you could also go to Midjourney and create a custom logo.
For those unfamiliar with Midjourney, it's an AI image creation tool that can create pictures of just about anything you can imagine, provided you're familiar with the command prompt.
Depending on the image you're trying to create, you might need advanced knowledge and experience with the tools, but the commands to put a logo on the side of a helmet in College Football 25 are simple.
Midjourney isn't free, which could be a killer for some, especially if you don't need AI-based imagery. You can get a monthly subscription to the tool through Discord for $10.
Even if you’re only going to use it to make a logo, spending $10 isn’t a bad idea.
When you visit Midjourney, you can enter a simple prompt like, “College football team logo featuring a powerful warrior holding a football and shouting to the heavens.”
In fact, I typed that exact command into Midjourney and it returned this image within seconds.
You may want to remove the background, which can be easily done with a program like Canva or a website like Clipping Magic. Once you have removed the background, you will have an image that is ready to be placed on the helmet or the 50 yard line of the field.
Once this step is completed, it will look like the image below.
You need to make sure your image size is 512KB or less, otherwise TeamBuilder will not accept it. Once it is the right size, you can upload this image into TeamBuilder to display your logo on helmets, uniforms, and even on the field.
In the screen below, an image has been uploaded to TeamBuilder, and the website on the right has the ability to automatically detect the primary colors of the logo.
Select them and you can create the perfect matching uniform and helmet.
In the screenshot below I added a logo to a helmet. This demo is just to show the process but I made it big and comprehensive.
Once you're done customizing your school, click “Submit” and, if you've properly connected your EA account, you should be able to access the program you designed.
Within EA CF25, go to the main menu, then Download Center, then My Shared, and find the school you created.
Once you download your school, it will become a selectable team in the exhibition and available for selection in Dynasty mode. A Dynasty can contain up to 16 TeamBuilder teams.
As you can see from the actual in-game screenshots below, I went all out on the color scheme and home field.
Somehow my newly created team ended up being the 13th ranked team. It looks like we're playing in the hay, but I love the customization.
The use of the AI image creation tool simply enhances the tools EA provides for creating custom football programs.
