Former heavyweight boxing champions Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are set to fight in a blockbuster bout that will be streamed on Netflix this summer, but they took very different paths to the fight.
Fans were surprised to see how different 18-year-old Mike Tyson and Jake Paul look ahead of their highly anticipated showdown this summer.
Paul has been hinting for some time that a fight with Tyson could be in the cards for him in the future, and the fight was sensationally announced last month. The showdown will be broadcast on the streaming service Netflix, and is expected to generate a huge amount of revenue.
Earlier this month, Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced the July 20th contest. Paul, who recently defeated Ryan Bolland with a devastating KO, has already fought a number of big names including UFC stars Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Ben Askren, but he is a natural boxer. He has been criticized for not being able to get into the ring.

The YouTuber's only loss was against Tommy Fury, where he lost on points to the young Englishman. However, Paul is now set to fight the iconic Tyson, who at 20 years old became the youngest heavyweight champion in history. Paul has come a long way since his teenage days on the Disney Channel, but he looked very different than Tyson back then.
At 18 years old, Tyson and Paul looked completely different and did completely different things. The boxing legend made his professional debut at that age in March 1985, defeating Hector Mercedes by knockout in the first round, then defeated Trent Singleton, Don Halpin, and Ricardo Spain before turning 19. Before the end of the day, he had a record of 4 wins and 0 losses.
Meanwhile, Paul had been gaining followers as an influencer on the now-defunct social media app Vine. He has amassed 5.3 million followers and over 2 billion views on YouTube, where he continues to grow his fan following.
In 2015, Disney Channel hired Paul to star in Bizard de Var. He started a brief acting career before exploding as an internet personality, appearing in his 2 series of television shows.
The appearance of a side-by-side image of the two boxers before the fight surprised fans, with Tyson showing a terrifying deadpan stare while flexing his muscles, while baby-faced Paul rode his bike on the Disney Channel red carpet was seen. Premier.

“Mike Tyson's neck is bigger than Jake's entire head,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Mike is a beast.” Others also spoke about the photo, writing, “Without a doubt, Mike Tyson was an unstoppable force and would have definitely won no matter how the situation played out.” One person praised Paul's transformation, adding: But I have to admit it. Jake has changed a lot since then. “He's practically a boxer now. He's not a clown anymore.”
Some fans have expressed concern about Tyson's health ahead of his return to the square, especially since the age difference is so large. A 2022 video showed the 57-year-old using a cane and a wheelchair, leading to people including UFC star Conor McGregor condemning the fight.
When asked by Happy Punch for his thoughts on the fight, McGregor replied, “So-so.” “It's a little weird, I get it. My interest is low. I don't know. I don't get it. God bless you Mike. [Tyson]” Paul, who has a record of 9-1 (6 KOs), will face Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) on July 20th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
