triple world champion Leon Marchand I'm a professional! He finished NCAA swimming and left the university as potentially the greatest athlete in school history.
Shortly after Marchand led ASU to the 2024 NCAA Championship team title, coach Bob Bowman announced he was taking the head coaching job at the University of Texas at Austin, and Marchand announced he would follow Bowman to Austin. Admitted.
In this video, Marchand talks about the Olympics and the pressure of competing in his home country. He also talked about the possibility of swimming the 200m butterfly/200m breaststroke double at the Paris Olympics.

Will Marchand rest or shave? Does he need it? Does it matter? I don't think that matters. He always swims fast.

- 200 Fly – 1:52.6
- 200 Chest – 2:06.1
- 200IM – 1:55.5
- 400IM – I don’t know. I think he swims just to win. He recorded a time of 4 minutes 10 seconds at the 2023 French trials. Apparently he ran 4:06.9 at the French Olympic Trials.
Will Marchand swim the 200 fly/200 breast double at the Olympics? I certainly hope so. That would be cruel, but he has the talent and the support of his home crowd to win both.
