Two of UFC's top heavyweight contenders will meet for the second time in the main event of UFC Fight Night in August.
UFC 306 PPV Rumors Debunked, Big Fight Planned for Las Vegas Stadium
In between trips to Abu Dhabi and Perth, Australia for UFC 305, UFC is scheduled to return to its Apex facility in Las Vegas on August 10 for a UFC Fight Night card with 11 bouts currently confirmed.
Perhaps the most high-profile bout already announced for the card is the heavyweight rematch between Marcin Tybura and Sergey Spivac, which has been promoted to tonight's main event according to a new report from Marcel Dorff.
The two fighters previously met in Norfolk, Virginia, in 2020, with Tybura winning by unanimous decision to start a five-fight winning streak and hand Spivak just his second career loss.
“Tybar” Spivak, ranked No. 8 in the UFC heavyweight rankings, is coming off a first-round submission win over Tai Tuivasa in March, while No. 9-ranked Spivak saw his three-fight winning streak come to an end when he was stopped by Ciril Gheyn in the main event of last year’s UFC in Paris.
The UFC Fight Night card on August 10 has yet to officially confirm any co-main events, with the only ranked bouts scheduled outside of the new main event being women's bantamweight bouts Jana Santos vs. Chelsea Chandler and Karol Rosa vs. Panny Kianzad.
