Karl Stefanovic stepped into the MMA ring with Today co-host Alex Cullen on Thursday morning to show off his boxing skills.
Karl, 49, and Alex, 43, entered the ring to promote Jake Gyllenhaal's new movie Road House.
The TV hosts wore muscle-print T-shirts as they appeared to the tune of American rapper Eminem's “Lose Yourself.”
“We're putting Carl and Alex to the ultimate test. Do they have what it takes to fight like Connor? [McGregor] And what about Jake? “Elvis and James from King's Academy are here to get our men into combat ready condition,” said host Sarah Abbo.
The coaches then explained: “We're going to teach one of the moves that Conor used in the UFC: the push kick. We use the knee. All of these moves can be seen in the film.”
“Well, you guys are even more ripped than I thought, so let's eat it. Let's teach them,” Sarah joked.
Karl and Alex then practiced some moves before awkwardly “fighting” each other in a toe-curling skit.
Road House is a remake of the 1980s cult classic starring Patrick Swayze as James Dalton, a New York bar bouncer who ends up working at a small-town nightclub.
In the film, Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter who retires from his career and becomes a bouncer at a bar in the Florida Keys.
The film co-stars Post Malone, Jessica Williams, and Daniela Melchior.
Jason Walsh previously opened up to DailyMail.com about what it took to transform Jake into a UFC fighter for the film.
He has been training the Spider-Man: Far From Home actor for eight years, and to get in shape for Roadhouse, the pair trained at Walsh's New York studio, Rise Nation.
In addition to lifting weights, the actor also did a 30-minute high-intensity VersaClimber workout.
