Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight contender Manel Kape has bragged about his prowess in street fighting in the past, and now he has hearsay to back it up.
Fresh off a stunning knockout win over Charles Jardin at UFC 303, UFC featherweight Jean Silva is “Star Boy's” training partner and revealed that Kape is already one step ahead of his next opponent, unbeaten prospect Mohamed Mokaev. According to “Lord Assassin,” an incident at the UFC Performance Institute (PI) a few months ago in which Kape left Mokaev bloody was the result of online abuse between the two.
“Manel Kape punched Mokaev outside the gym a while ago,” Silva explained to AG Fights. “He elbowed Mokaev in the head on the street.”
Mokaev interrupted, “This is the second time I've hit you. [Mokaev]but stay calm.”
Silva continued: “Brother, he caught Mokaev at the entrance here. [UFC] Private investigator. He headbutted and elbowed Mokaev on the street. He split Mokaev's head open a week before the fight. He's a psychopath and I was going to spar with him that day…Mokaev said he was going to slap him. [Kape] On the face, and [Kape] I saw Mokaev. Mokaev wanted to apologise. He said: 'I can't accept an apology, now you have to apologise'. Mokaev then took a step back. I got out, opened the second door, he came and headbutted Mokaev and elbowed him. Mokaev fell to the ground.”
All ill will aside, this is a very important flyweight bout with a chance at a title. The 23-year-old Mokaev boasts an unbeaten record of 6-0 inside the Octagon and recently rose to the top 10 in the flyweight division with a win over former title contender Alex Perez.
Meanwhile, Kape is a former Rizin champion who has finally found his groove in the Octagon. Though he's had issues stepping into the cage this year, “Starboy” is one of the division's few knockout artists and is riding a four-fight winning streak.

Michel Pereira vs. Anthony Hernandez is one of the best fights in the middleweight division and a very intriguing one.
I checked the social media feeds of Jon Jones and Dana White, hoping to be gifted a quick critical headline on the P4P update.
Dan Ige explains the process of booking a UFC fight with just four hours notice.
Ali Abdelaziz, who wasn't even Dan Ige's manager, called Ige and proposed fighting Diego Lopez at UFC 303.
Ige didn't believe it at first and called his coach to hand over the Cup.

Khamzat Chimaev and Jiří Prokhazska should find a forest and work together.
I've been a Michael Chandler fan for over 10 years, but it's hard to win an argument on social media when you're not even fighting.
Speaking of not being able to win an online fight…

It feels like it's rare to see a big ground strike to the body, but here it contributed to the finish.
