cambridge, massachusetts – Harvard University Men’s Soccer has announced that it will welcome six freshmen to the program starting the 2024 season as part of the Class of 2028. Josh ShapiroVirginia B. and James O. Welch Jr. '52 Head Coach of Harvard Men's Soccer.
The class includes two student-athletes from Maryland and one student-athlete each from Massachusetts, North Carolina, California and Germany. This group includes defenders, midfielders and forwards who played for top clubs in their respective regions.
Harvard University's Class of 2028 Includes Defender alexander castel (Chevy Chase, Maryland), Defender nayan das (Lexington, Massachusetts), Defender Tim Langenbahn (Andernach, Germany), midfielder Shane Lonergan (San Francisco, California), Forward Xavier Tunney (Kensington, Maryland), midfielder Phoenix Wooten (Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina).
This group joins a Crimson squad that has climbed up the Ivy League standings over the past three years, taking fourth place in 2021, third place in 2022 and second place in 2023.
