The Sixers, still without injured 2023 NBA Most Valuable Player Joel Embiid, took an early lead and held off a late rally for the win.
Harden scored 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the floor and 0-of-6 from 3-point range, but the 34-year-old guard, a former MVP and three-time NBA scoring leader, added: Game-high 14 assists.
Harden was unhappy that he wasn't traded in the offseason and was moved as part of a seven-player deal just days into the season.

Kawhi Leonard and backup Norman Powell led the Clippers with 20 points each, and Paul George added 18 points.
The 76ers improved to 39-32, one game behind Indiana, in sixth place and the last playoff position in the Eastern Conference outside of the play-in game, while the Clippers improved to 44-26, in fourth place. They were just 0.5 games behind New Orleans. Western Conference.
