GSW releases 2024 women's soccer schedule – Americus Times Recorder

First-year head coach Jacob Crawford has confirmed Georgia Southwestern State University's 2024 women's soccer schedule with 16 games, eight of which will be played at Hurricane Field.

GSW will open the season with a neutral site match on Thursday, Sept. 5. The Lady Hurricanes will take on Florida Southern College on the campus of Columbus State University at 11 a.m. The Lady Hurricanes will return to Americus for their home opener against Rollins College on Sept. 12. The schools have met the past two seasons, both ending in scoreless draws.

For the first time in five years, GSW and Brewton Parker College will meet on Sept. 14. The Lady Hurricanes will travel to Mount Vernon, Georgia, where the two schools have met once in program history the first time they met in 2008. After a trip to Valdosta State University (Sept. 18), GSW will open Peach Belt Conference play against USC Beaufort on Sept. 21. GSW's first-ever matchup with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural University will be at Hurricane Field on Sept. 24, before the month ends with a trip to Clayton State University (Sept. 28).

Back-to-back home games will open the month of October, with a visit from Flagler College on October 5th, followed by a first-time matchup against Allen University (October 8th). GSW will travel to USC Aiken on the 12th, before returning home to take on Albany State on the 16th. A season-high two-game road trip will follow, with visits to North Georgia (October 19th) and Columbus State (October 23rd), followed by home matches against Lander University (October 26th) and Middle Georgia State (October 29th). The game against Lander will be part of GSW's 2024 Homecoming celebrations. The regular season will conclude on November 2nd at Georgia State University.

The Lady Hurricanes return 10 players, but only three of those are seniors.
