Our hilly region is notoriously humid and the terrain is rugged, but Garcia is averaging 90 miles per week in preparation for the big event, and is ready to shine as an Olympian. This is already a life-changing experience. But winning an Olympic medal would definitely be even more life-changing. Garcia, who runs an average of 90 miles a week in preparation for the big games, is preparing for the bright lights of being an Olympian. “This is already a life-changing experience, but if I win a medal at the Olympics, it will be an even more life-changing experience. But just being able to be an Olympian is something I'm very grateful for in and of itself. “It's been a great experience,” Garcia said. Garcia is set to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics on August 10.

Garcia, originally from Jacksonville, Florida, currently trains in upstate New York due to the hilly area known for its humid temperatures and rough terrain.
Garcia is averaging 90 miles per week in preparation for the big competition and is preparing for the bright lights of being an Olympian.
“This is already a life-changing experience, but to win an Olympic medal would be an even more life-changing experience. I think just being able to be an Olympian is an experience in itself that I'm so grateful to have had,” Garcia said.
Garcia is scheduled to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which begins on August 10.
