“Gold Zone,” a live show featuring the most exciting Olympic moments from a variety of sports in real time, will air on Peacock and return to the Paris Games.
The show, hosted by Scott Hanson, Andrew Siciliano, Matt Eiseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, will air on Peacock from July 27 to August 10, the first day of the medal race, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. It will be streamed live every day.
“With up to 40 events taking place simultaneously during the Paris Olympics, the Gold Zone will always offer viewers the best and most glamorous moments.” According to NBC Sports PR. “The daily live show scans all the events of the day and brings viewers the most exhilarating moments and key races, routines and finishes live, guiding fans through the excitement, triumphs and emotions of the Olympics. .”
The “Gold Zone” program was featured on NBC's Olympic coverage of the 2012 London Games.
“Gold Zone” has been compared to the NFL’s “Red Zone” show, which similarly had its biggest moments during Sunday afternoon games. Hanson has been the host of The NFL Show since 2009. Siciliano hosted the NFL Show from 2005 until 2022, and also hosted the Olympic “Gold Zone” in 2014 and 2016.
Iseman and Gbajabiamila will return in 2021 after hosting Peacock's Tokyo Olympics morning show “Tokyo Live.”
“Gold Zone” will also be available on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app via “TV Everywhere” for customers with pay-TV subscriptions.
